Noah's Ark Spotted in Hong Kong
New high-tech museum even impresses a skeptic
SUMMARY: An impressive actual-size replica of Noah's Ark, which opened in
May and was built according to biblical proportions, can be found in Hong Kong.
Located in Ma Wan Park, it soars up to the Tsing Ma Bridge and dominates the
view from nearby Noah's Resort. The ark complex includes a gift shop and an
adjacent Noah's Garden containing fiberglass tigers and other exotic fiberglass
animals.
The ark is the achievement of the Kwok brothers, Christian billionaires from a
real estate investment company. It began promoting the concepts of family
values and faith when it opened.
Using high-tech displays, the museum answers such questions as how long
Noah and his family were on board (371 days) and how many ravens there
were (seven pairs). One gallery contains a collection of models of arks from
various countries--arks in snowdomes and ceramic teapot arks included. A
lavish video containing exclusively Chinese actors retells the story of Noah. At
appropriate moments during the video, the floor actually shakes and the wind
blows.
This Noah's Ark replica is just one of several around the world, including one at
the Creation Museum (a partial replica), one in Los Angeles and another in
Israel.

COMMENT: So, it appears Ken Ham has a rival when it comes to high-tech
creationist museums. I had not heard of this Hong Kong Noah's Ark replica
until now and had wondered how long it would take somebody to build a
full-scale model of the ark. The Netherlands has an eye-opening floating model
of the ark, but it is only 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the original.
This ark must be irritating to evolutionists who still don't seem to have gotten
over the construction of the Creation museum in Kentucky. Yet, how often do
Bible believers continue to be irritated by the unfounded claims of evolutionist
scientists as found in most public museums and on television shows or in the
newspapers?
Hopefully, the Christians in Hong Kong can use this ark replica to point people
to the Word of God so that the Holy Spirit might come to them with the promise
of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. Perhaps, the skeptic who
wrote the linked commentary and who was impressed by the ark might even
eventually stop resisting the Holy Spirit himself. If he was impressed by this
manmade ark replica, he really, really will be impressed by the magnificence
and holiness of our future home in heaven.
